Gegham Manukyan: Our toolkit includes both rallies and other protest actions, which will be implemented if necessary
1 / 3

“The Madrid Document speaks about the future fate of Artsakh,” the deputy of the Armenia Faction Gegham Manukyan said during the NA briefings, not agreeing with the statement of the RA Prime Minister that Nagorno Karabakh is a part of Azerbaijan according to the Madrid principles.

In response to the journalist’s question about the active actions of the opposition, the deputy noted that there are various indicators of activity, the activity is not only the rally, the activity is the parliamentary and legislative activities, it is the deputies’ questions, the visits to the regions, the meeting with the people, the warning to the public about this or that problem in different formats, especially the problems facing Armenia now.

“Our toolkit includes both rallies and other protest actions, which will be implemented if necessary,” Gegham Manukyan said.

He assured that they held public discussions at least during the last 1.5 months. Parallel to the start of the autumn session of the Parliament, the opposition held discussions on political, foreign policy, socio-economic topics, but they were left unfinished due to the aggression of Azerbaijan on September 13.

“The national forces, which are represented in parliament, cannot sit idly by and watch the train of all of us, in which we are all, roll into the abyss,” the deputy of the Armenia Faction Kristine Vardanyan noted.

Answering the journalist’s question about the agenda of the tripartite meeting of the leaders of Armenia, Azerbaijan and Russia to be held in Sochi in the near future, Gegham Manukyan stated that there are many questions regarding the meeting in Sochi.
